Next Sunday, the annual Mass at Nano Nagle Birthplace will take place at 11.30am, replacing the regular 11.30am Mass. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Presentation Sisters acquiring the site of the homestead of their foundress. Ten years later (May 1984) the facilities at Ballygriffin were opened as a centre for education, culture, ecology and spirituality.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY

On May 18, following the 7pm Mass, a parish pilgrim walk will take place from the church, following the Monanimy Loop via Topshop and returning to the church.

A MESSAGE FROM MAI

‘Thank you is a very small word but its meaning is far reaching like kindness, remembrance, loyalty and friendship. I experienced all these feelings on April 19th at my book launch for ‘A Moment In Time’ in The Hibernian Hotel, Mallow. Thank you all for sharing and buying the book. The Cancer Connect organisation are a wonderful example of care and compassion when you need it most. The sale of the book and the raffle on the night has raised over €6,000 so far. I appreciate the donations from each and every one of you in Peter’s memory. Thank you.’

ROWING

Imogen Magner is competing for Rowing Ireland at the Olympic qualification event in Lucerne from May 19th until May 21st. Her grandfather, John Magner and her great-grandfather, David Magner were from Killavullen. We wish her and her teammates the best of luck.
