Congratulations to Munster football champions
Congratulations to our Junior Ladies Football panel on their victory over St. Angela’s Ursaline of Waterford in the Munster Junior C Plate final last Thursday on a scoreline of 5-25 to 1-05. A great performance from all players to finish out the year.
A special note of thanks to our coaching team of Ms. Michelle Ryan, Ms. Emma Gildea and Ms. Gráinne Dunlea. Well done to all involved.
CLOTHES COLLECTION
The Parents’ Council are holding a clothes collection on Friday, 10th May as a fundraiser for the school. Bags can be dropped at the Sports Hall from this Thursday.
All support is welcome.
CHESS LEAGUES
BCS Chess leagues started Thursday, 2nd May and will continue at lunch-time over the next few weeks. Best of luck to all involved.
Our TY Mini Company group held a Food Fair in the General Purpose Area on Friday last. There was super support for the event throughout the day.

CAIRDE INTERVIEWS
TY students who have applied to be Cairde in 5th Year will be interviewed on Thursday and Friday of this week. This is a vitally important support for our incoming 1st Year students and has been a very successful initiative since its introduction.
Cairde act as “Big Buddies” to each 1st Year student and are a friendly face and a vital point of information and advice if needed. It’s a testement to the importance of the role to students in the school that so many Transition Years have applied to be Cairde next year

1ST YEAR SCHOOL TRIP
Our 1st Year students head to Fota on Friday for their end-ofyear trip accompanied by the 5th Year Cairde.
LEAVING CERTIFICATE APPLIED
Well done to 5th Year LCA on successful completion of their task interviews in Ag/Hort and in Vocational Preparation and Guidance. All teachers of LCA are invited to an Italian themed lunch prepared, cooked and served by the 5th Year group on Thursday of this week.
