Last Wednesday evening, we took on Ballinhass­ig at home in the Junior County League.

We started off slowly and we were 3 points down at half-time. We came out fighting in the second half with a brilliant goal from Katie O’Neill putting us ahead for the first time. We continued going toe to toe with them, ending up with a draw 1-07 to 0-10. Holly Quirke is out injured and we wish her well and hope to have her back togged out really soon, 1-07 to 0-10.

GLANWORTH V MITCHELSTO­WN IN A GLANFEST CUP CHALLENGE

It was an end to end game with goals galore. And the Owen McAuliffe Cup stayed in Glanworth with our ladies running out clear winners. Final score 7-13 to 4-13.

M&Os headlined Glanfest on Sunday where we welcomed 8 teams; Killavulle­n, Fermoy, Fr Caseys Grenagh, Mallow, St Catherines, Watergrass­hill and of course our very own Glanworth M&O for a blitz.

Great fun was had by all and with loads to offer all the supporters with a Farmers Market, Family Fun Day and much, much more. Another successful blitz. Well done to all involved.

U13S NORTH CORK LEAGUE V KILLAVULLE­N

Venue Shanballym­ore. With the first half slow to get going we more than made up for it in the second half with great goals coming from our 2 x Saoirses and Ailbhe Kane. Final score 3-04 to 3-03. Next up we are into the North final.

GLANFEST SUCCESS

Massive success and well done to Glanworth GAA and all involved in the success of Glanfest 2024. The place was rocking and from start to finish it was an absolutely unreal weekend, all age-groups were catered for. Roll on Glanfest 2025.
