Adult Senior Open 2024
We are now at that time of year where our annual Senior Open is fast approaching. This will take place the 19th to 27nd of July. This is the biggest fixture in the club calendar and is one of our main fundraisers. Its successful outcome will greatly benefit the club and our members. We invite all members to participate and anticipate welcoming a huge entry of players from other clubs.
We would encourage any members interested in helping with the organisation and running of our open week to get involved. Club captain Liam O’Grady and the executive committee will be seeking volunteers in the coming weeks across a number of roles. Your help is vital to its continued success.
SAVE THE DATE
Official opening following club enhancement works on May 24th at 8pm. Mayor of County Cork, Frank O’Flynn, will cut the ribbon to officially welcome the major development and enhancement works completed at Mitchelstown Tennis Club. This is sure to be a momentous occasion for our club, we welcome all members and members of the public to the celebrations, with refreshments on the night.
The club is now benefitting from universally/physically disabled access to our courts, modern fencing surrounding the entire perimeter and the latest in energy saving LED lighting. Mitchelstown Tennis Club wishes to gratefully acknowledge the support of Cork County Council under the community fund scheme. The grant enabled the club to complete the upgrade of our floodlights to energy efficient LED lighting.
