Mixed results
Well done to our U15 girls who played in Division 1 of the Féile on Sunday, 28th April. They beat Monaleen and Feonagh/Castlemahon and with two wins, were qualified out of the group. In the final group game v Knockainey we had the comfort of moving the girls around, with Knockainey taking the win. We played Ahane in the final. This was a great display of football by both sides, there was only a kick of the ball between them in the end, with Ahane taking the win. Best of luck to Ahane going forward.
On Wednesday, 1st May the Senior ladies travelled the short distance to Ballylanders to play the second round of the league. Both teams played some excellent football. There was nothing between the teams. The score at half-time was Gaels 0-6 Ballylanders 2-0. The second half continued as the first. Gaels pushed on midway through the second half, taking some excellent scores. Gaels came away with the win. Gaels 2-11 Ballylanders 3-3.
JUNIOR B
On Saturday evening the Junior B ladies travelled to Knockainey, a perfect evening for football. The girls put in a tremendous performance, hitting the ground running, as soon as the ball was thrown in. The girls took some excellent scores. The half-time score was
Gaels 4-6 Knockainey 1-2. The second half continued as the first finished. Gaels putting Knockainey under pressure all over the field. The ladies came away with a comfortable win, Gaels 5-14 Knockainey 1-8.
U16S
On Monday evening, May 6th Galtee Gaels U16s played Mungret in Kilbehenny. This was a great game of football, both teams hitting the ground running. There was nothing between the teams, the half-time score Gaels 2-4 Mungret 0-8. The second half continued as the first finished. Both teams matching each other score for score. The Gaels girls pulled out all the stopped against a physical Mungret. Gaels started to pull away with 10 minutes to go. Gaels came away with a comfortable win. Gaels 5-7 Mungret 0-15. Well done girls. The girls are out again on Friday 10th in Kilbehenny, all support appreciated.

Thursday 9th Senior ladies challenge game away to Glanmire at 7.30. U12 Friday v Knockainey at 6.45 in Kilbehenny, followed by U16s v Knockainey at 7.30pm. All support appreciated.
