Cappoquin - Railway are champions

NISSAN MOTORS FERMOY LEAGUE

Cappoquin-Railway were presented with their shield and medals by league chairman, Brian Donnelly in Leonard Fraser Park on Saturday morning last, this was after they won the U12 cup quarter-final in the same ground.

A penalty in the second-half was enough to see them advance over Brideview Utd these season is now ended.

REFEREES WANTED

Yes with 16 teams from almost all schools in the Tallow area we need four referees for Friday. So if there is anyone free on Friday would they get in touch with Shane Aherne, Brian Donnelly or Liam Fraser ASAP.

We had a record number of 24 teams entered but sadly we could not cater for that number. However we will look at this for next year and see if we can come up with something.

Our U11 cup final is between Valley Rangers and Inch.

CUP FINALS

All clubs would have got an email on Monday night last regarding the cup finals. While we know just what clubs are taking part in the U11 cup final and the U15 cup final, we would hope to have the finalists of the U12, U13 and U14 in the next two weeks.

CLUBS NOTE

All cup finals will take place in Leonard Fraser Park, Tallow. The first of these will take place on Sunday, May 26th with the final two taking place on bank holiday Monday, June 3rd.

Gaynor Cup: will run from 3rd to 7th June. Kennedy Cup: will run from Monday, June 10th till Friday June 14th.

Fixtures for this week: clubs will have got an email on Monday night.
