Primera ex­pan­sion

Low-cost car­rier Primera Air has started ser­vices be­tween Lon­don Stansted and New York. The Nordic air­line is the first car­rier to fly sched­uled transat­lantic ser­vices from Stansted for over a decade. It will ex­pand its network this sum­mer by es­tab­lish­ing bases at Lon­don Stansted, Birm­ing­ham and Paris Charles De Gaulle and fly­ing non-stop to Bos­ton, Toronto and Wash­ing­ton DC.

Qatar ad­di­tions

Qatar Air­ways has launched ser­vices from both Cardiff and Lon­don Gatwick to its Doha hub. They be­come the air­line’s fifth and sixth UK des­ti­na­tions, join­ing Lon­don Heathrow, Manch­ester, Birm­ing­ham and Ed­in­burgh.

Air Canada up­grades

Air Canada has rolled-out a new ex­pe­ri­ences for pas­sen­gers trav­el­ling in its Sig­na­ture Class busi­ness cabin. As well as the usual pri­or­ity ser­vices, cus­tomers now re­ceive up­dated menus from chef David Hawksworth, a new range of wines, spir­its and Cham­pagne, new amenity kits by Want Les Es­sen­tials and mat­tress pads for lie-flat seats.

Easyjet eyes loy­alty

Easyjet is look­ing to in­tro­duce a loy­alty pro­gramme to strengthen its of­fer­ing and boost busi­ness pas­sen­ger num­bers. The plan was men­tioned in its re­cent results state­ment which saw to­tal rev­enue top £2bil­lion for the first time.
