Hong Kong has been de­clared the world’s most ex­pen­sive city for overseas work­ers in Mercer’s world­wide cost of liv­ing sur­vey. Tokyo, Zurich, Sin­ga­pore and Seoul were sec­ond, third, fourth and fifth re­spec­tively, with Luanda, Shang­hai, N’dja­mena, Bei­jing and Bern com­plet­ing the top ten. Tashkent, Tu­nis and Bishkek were de­clared the world’s least ex­pen­sive cities.
