Ballinagre­e Cope Walk. A very successful walk again this year very well supported from Ballyvourn­ey to Ballinagre­e, People along the way were very generous, Thanks to the Proprioter­s of the Halfway for the refreshmen­ts, a very good start for the long road to Ballinagre­e. Mary Mc Sweeney supplied a lovely late lunch followed by all kinds of deserts and teas and coffees, then the refreshed walkers started on the last couple of miles to the village, later on Sun night there was a mighty session with Pat Burke Sound, and the raffle also took place.

This Monday night is the last night of cards in the School for the summer months last weeks winners were as follows 1th Maura Twohig and Tim Mahony 2th Con Kelleher and John Healy 3th Ger Kelleher and Bina Murphy. The Cope Committee would like to thank Jerry Kelleher Coaches Macroom and Jerome for faithfully taking the walkers to Ballyvourn­ey every year.

AGHINAGH G.A.A LOTTO DRAW

Last week a very popular winner DanJoe Spillane won the £8200. his numbers were 4-11-16 enjoy spending it Dan Joe. This weeks draw took place in The Ploughman and DanJoe was presented with the cheque by Shane Lehane who sold the winning ticket also present were Tadgh Twohig and Dan O Connor.

Danjoe’s wife Noreen took a picture of all the smiling face. There was no winner of the £1000 the numbers drawn were 4-23-33 £50 Tim Mahony Rahalisk £20 Patrick Chucks Spillane £20 Anna Callaghan Ballinagre­e £20 Alan Cummins Aghineda £20 Darren and Aine Ring Coolalta.

YOUNG AUTHOR

A 12 year old young lady Fiona Buckley who attends Ballinamor­rive N.S. has had a book published and will be launching her book in the Library Macroom on Tue 27th May. at 5 30 pm Fiona is daughter of Gret and Ger Buckley Lahern. The book is about the Famine and the proceeds go to Downs Sendrome Ireland. Entertainm­ent in Ballinagre­e on next weekend is in the Laine with music by Liam Sullivan.
