Theatre to come alive with ‘The Sound of Music’
DUE TO popular demand, following seven sell-out house shows each of which was rewarded by a standing ovation, Briery Gap Macroom are are bringing their exceptional production of “The Sound of Music” to The Everyman Theatre for one night only on June 6. The production is directed by Mr. Kevin Hough, best known for his many musical programmes on RTE radio and television and is performed by Briery Gap Musical Players.
The Sound of Music is one of the best loved and most popular Musicals of all time with its many hit songs such as “Climb Every Mountain”, “Edelweiss”, “Do-Re-Mi”, “My Favourite Things”, “16 Going on 17” to mention but a few. The wonderfully talented cast and chorus are all local to the Macroom area, including the seven children of Captain Von Trapp.
The story of The Sound of Music is one of joy, torment, humour and romance with celebrated music and songs that you are sure to enjoy.
