Fr Con Buckley to launch book of poems

POETRY: Fr. Con Buckley, a native of Lamanaugh, now living in Ballyduff, Co. Kerry, will launch his first book of poetry entitled, “The Last Irish Romantic” this Saturday May 31st in John B. Keane's pub in Listowel at 3.30 p.m., as part of Listowel Writer's Week.

It will be launched by Gabriel Fitzmauric­e followed by readings, refreshmen­ts, music and song.

Admission is free and everyone welcome.

MUSIC ROOM

Thursday next June 5th, Pat McCarron of Bandon Gramaphone Circle will present his music choices in the Music Room at Pearse Memorial Hall at 8 p.m.

This is an invitation to all music lovers, come and enjoy his popular programme.

FESTIVAL

Boherbue Developmen­t Festival Committee is staging a one-day fun for all Sunday August 3rd in the local GAA grounds starting at 2 p.m.

This is a follow-on from the successful gathering festival last year which attracted huge attendance.
