Golden Goal a success

Many thanks to all who bought tickets for the Golden Goal Competitio­n that Lismire GAA promoted for the Cork v Waterford Senior Hurling Championsh­ip game last Sunday. The exact time of the first goal was 43:44. The owner of the ticket with this time can claim the €500 prize by contacting the Club Secretary on 086 3025308 before 2nd June 2014. In the event that the prize is not claimed then the €500 will be donated to Kanturk Community Hospital. Again, a sincere thanks to everyone who supported the club in this promotion to raise funds for the running of the club.

LISMIRE ADVANCE IN COUNTY

Lismire advanced to the next round of the County Junior B Hurling Championsh­ip with a hard fought win over West Cork representa­tives, Carbery Rangers at Coachford on Saturday evening. Played in wet, windy condition Lismire stuck to their task with commitment and determinat­ion and emerged victorious on a 1.14 to 1.12 scoreline. Match report in Sports pages. The Lismire team was: Darragh Kearney, Mark Field, Niall Ahern, John O'Connor, Paudie Denn, Tim O'Callaghan, Sean McSweeney, Cathal Noonan ( 0.3), John O'Callaghan, Michael McSweeney ( 0.1), Stephen Kiely ( 0.1), Brian O'Callaghan, Darren O'Sullivan ( 0.7), Daniel Richard Guinee (1.0), Paddy Sheahan ( 0.2).
