Duhallow win County final
The Duhallow U14 hurlers were victorious in the Premier 1 Hurling County Final last Saturday in Pairc Ui Rinn. In a game that ebbed & flowed from the start, in terrible weather conditions, Midleton led at the quarter hour mark by 7 points. At this stage Duhallow exerted their superiority to lead at the short whistle by just 1 point. Upon the resumption, Duhallow took hold of the game & led by 5 points at 45 minutes, only for Midleton to start their comeback & eventually draw level. The last 5 minutes saw neither team able to take control until the 59th minute. A ball which was flicked back by our Tommy Nunan to Cian Crowley was shot to the net & was immediately followed by another Duhallow goal on the 60th minute.

At last, we finally face into the first round of the Intermediate Hurling Championship, when our lads take on Aghabullogue on Sunday next, 1st June at 2pm in Mallow.

On Sunday last her big family & some friends gathered at The Vienna Woods hotel, Cork for a big celebration and her birthday was also celebrated locally with her friends from the Active Retirement Group. CLONFERT CEMETERY MASS
The annual open air mass in Clonfert cemetery will be celebrated on Ascension Thursday, 29th May at 7.30pm. Please inform family members who now live outside the parish and would like to attend. We would also appeal to people to clean up the graves of loved ones for this very special occasion.
