Macroom v Tracton at Minane Bridge

ON a bright cold evening, Macroom played Tracton in the 3rd round B League game.

Macroom played against the breeze in the first half. Tracton were quicker to settle and got some early scores.

Macroom defended stoutly with James Galvin to the fore and Reece Lee was very safe in goal. At half-time the score was Tracton 2-7, Macroom 0-2; Liam Linehan and Bradley O’Shea scored a point each. Tracton have some excellent players and dominated around the middle.

Macroom did better in the second half. As well as the above mentioned, Cormac Buckley, Jack Sexton, Shane Sweeney, Luke Ahern and Michael Kelleher played well. The final score was Tracton 3-12 and Macroom 1-5.

Macroom U-9/ 10s welcomed Ballinora on Sunday, April 24 to the Castle Grounds, with three teams lining out, 30 players in total.

The lads played very well and kept going right to the end against some strong opposition. All the matches were closely contested.
