Cystic fibrosis fundraiser at the Arches

THE two day cystic fibrosis fundraiser weekend commences on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 1 with an 80s fancy dress disco in the function room which starts at 9pm.

At the Arches Bar, D. J. Mikie Fox will be on hand to spin all the 80s classics while in the Lounge an 80s Band will also perform. Admission is €10 with access to all areas on the night.

On Monday thrill seeking Mallow folk will take to the skies in a Bungee Jump event which begins at 12 noon in the grounds of the Arches.

A member of the southern branch of Cystic Fibrosis told Around Mallow that all work is totally voluntary in the group and that those involved are there to support families and patients of CF and to raise awareness and aid in the research.

The funds raised from this event will go towards Professor Barry Plant and his research team at Cork University Hospital. Please support this very worthy cause.
