A LARGE number of cyclists from O’Leary Stone Kanturk Cycling Club travelled to Currow outside Castleisland last Sunday.
The club had a clean sweep in the underage races winning U12, U14 and u16 races. David Shine had his first big win u12 winning the Drumm Shield. Ewen McConville placed 4th and Sean Tarrant 6th.

Conor Murphy was placed 6th in the A3 race and Tom Daly 13th in the A4 categories.
All in all it was a great day out for the Kanturk Club.
This weekend sees the action at home in the O’Leary Stone Kanturk Cycling Club 3 Day Event starting Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May will this year celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the event. There are a large number of entries from all over the Country.
It is a great opportunity to come out and see the competition at home and the training and dedication these cyclists put into the sport.
As there will be a large number of cyclists on the road, we would ask for the public’s co-operation with the Gardai and stewards to ensure we have a safe weekend of cycling.
Also this year the club will be hosting the Youth National Championships in August so it will be a busy year for the club.
