Second half display key to Knocknagree win

As the game aged, Knocknagree tackled their task with enthusiasm and emerged the better of the two sides. Dromtariffe enjoyed a positive start and took encouragement from the efforts of Cormac O’Mahony, Seán Howard and Jack Murphy with Daniel O’Keeffe in fine shooting form.

Knocknagree came more into the picture after Fintan O’Connor netted an opportunist goal. In fairness, Dromtariffe held their own, Mark O’Connor, Niall O’Sullivan and O’Keeffe helped secure a 0-12 to 1-8 interval lead.

From the restart, Knocknagree returned more energised, prompted by the efforts of Paul O’Connor, Danny Cooper, Matthew Dilworth and Fintan O’Connor. The latter delivered four consecutive points with Denis Murphy, Shane O’Connor and Dilworth also on target to secure a merited win.
