Kilmichael in good form in Junior Football Championship
MUSKERRY’S competitive Junior Football Championship commenced last weekend when Kilmichael faced Donoughmore two clubs who have enjoyed outright victories in recent years in the championship. A good contest was anticipated but Kilmichael held the upper hand for the hour and won convincingly despite lining out without the services of Peter Kelleher.
This Muskerry Championship is very much on the minds of clubs at present, something that is highlighted by performances in recent league outings as full teams have been in action for the participants.
Last year’s defeated Championship Finalists Inniscarra recently displayed good form when they defeated both Canovee and Ballincollig while Canovee in another outing were impressive victory over championship holders Iveleary. Clondrohid enjoyed a convincing victors over Blarney to boost their morale as all the Junior Football Teams in Muskerry are busy.
Returning to Kilmichael’s convincing victory over Donoughmore in the championship at Coachford they had particularly impressive performers in Dan Twomey, Conor Cotter and Simon Foley.
