Toastmasters back in action
CHARLEVILLE’S Failte Toastmasters Club have resumed their activities over the autumn, winter, into spring periods and meet from now until next May on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Charleville Park Hotel.
The club’s Bridget Hamilton says this is an ideal way to meet new friends and at the same time improve your communication skills, build self-confidence and learn the leadership skills of assertiveness, time management and evaluation skills.
At the meetings the members and their guests learn how to make presentations and to think on their feet in response to discussions on tantalising topics. The members prepare and present speeches in a general fun atmosphere, which are then evaluated by their fellow members.
“The members are ordinary people from all walks of life who want to further their communication skills in a nonschool like environment,” said Bridget.
If you wish to improve your communication skills, build your self-confidence and learn leadership skills of assertiveness, time management and evaluation skills, come see how we can help at any one of our meetings.
Guests are free and our next meeting is on Monday 28th November at the Charleville Park Hotel and commences at 7.50pm.
Special rates for new members in November and December. For more information contact 087-4146732.
