And after shopping ‘ till you drop, you can wind down in one of the friendly Restaurants and Bars dotted around town where proprietors are also rolling out menus to delight the most discerning diners so now would be a great time to book that special family meal or get together with friends.

With a plethora of well-established family run businesses with people at the helm who have a lifetime of experience working with customers along with the well-known brand name retailers, Millstreet town has it all gift wrapped for you this festive season. That said, a town can have all the friendly and effective service in the world, but if it does not have choice and value for money that every shopper wants then it will struggle to attract people. It’s a special occasion when young and old can savour the magic of Christmas and this year the lights in town will be switched on in early December, everyone is looking forward to seeing the large Christmas Tree in the square lit up in all it’s glory and every year it makes for a fabulous festive centrepiece in the town.

Millstreet Community Council members have again pulled out all the stops with their wonderul annual Calendar which is now on sale in local shops with all proceeds going to Millstreet Pipe Band and Men’s Shed.

Millstreet Community Council and Tidy Towns are the in the process of erecting two interpretive information boards giving the history of the Church and The Mill which will benefit both locals and Tourists.

Meanwhile the kind hearted students at Millstreet Community School are organising a major fundraising raffle for the local St Vincent the Paul Society. Residents and visitors at the local Hospital can look forward to a feast of festive entertainment when the Millstreet Community Singers will visit on December 4th from 2pm-3pm
