THE Munster Junior Championships and Juvenile Combined Events were held in Waterford last Saturday with successes coming from Vickie Cusack junior and Johnny Murphy, juvenile.

Vickie’s results are gold in the shot put and bronze in the javelin. While Johnny Murphy had a great win to take gold in the juvenile under-12 combined events. He was lying third after a four events with just the 600m to go. He left no doubt in what the final result would be, as he romped home well ahead of the 15 others in the vent. Well done to both Johnny and Vickie.

Tuesday, May 2, at Charleville, strength and conditionion 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3: at Liscarroll, high jump, long jump and throws 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 4: Little Athletes, Liscarroll, 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Charleville, all athletes 6.30 p.m.

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS – Cork County Juvenile Championships under-9 to 19 will be held on Sunday, May 7, and Sunday, May 14, at CIT Cork. Entries close on Tuesday, May 2, and no entries will be accepted after that date. Please let Esther have a list of our events on or before that date, by meeting her at training or by text to 087 6888591 or by email to liscarrollathletics@yahoo.co.uk Athletes must be at the track on both days before 10 a.m.
