Ballyhass National School will hold their annual May Fayre fundraiser on Sunday, May 7, in the school grounds from 2 p.m. till 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome and admission is free, Attractions include a delicious barbecue, tea or coffee stall, bric-a-brac, children’s cupcake competition, designer boutique, silent auction, home baked breads and cakes, bouncy castles, soccer blitz, and many more attractions. Castlemagner Sinsir club wishes to extend a sincere thanks to all who supported and helped out at their recent Dawn Chorus walk for Mercy Hospital ICU. The event was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. were Marion Brady Knockardfree, Mike Enright Freemount, Bridget O’Brien Dromin, Michelle O’Hanlon Ballybane and Catherine Guerin Garran na Dara, Next jackpot on Monday, May 15, €3,000. Well done to Kyle on his great achievement in the 52kg in the all-Ireland championship. Kyle was runner-up in the final and everyone is very proud of his achievements. Best of luck for the future.

BEALTAINE CELEBRATIONS
Kilbrin Community Council are organising events for the Bealtaine Festival. A great Joe Dolan Tribute night is on May 12 from 9.30 onwards. A Dawn Mass will be celebrated on May 27 at 6 a.m. in the graveyard. Also on May 27 there will be a Ceili in our newly refurbished hall. Young and old welcome to the ceili.

DANCING CLASSES

ALZHEIMER’S TEA EVENING
Thanks to everyone who supported the Alzheimer’s Tea Evening which was held last Monday evening in the social club, a figure of €190.45 was realised.

GAA NEWS
Meelin Intermediates had a great win against valley rovers Friday night. A goal in the dying minutes secured them the victory on a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-17.
Meelin’s next fixture sees them take on Eire Óg in championship Friday, May 12. Time and date to be confirmed by county board.
St Peter LGFA – St Peter’s juniors had another victory against Passage West at the weekend to secure them a place in the league final. Well done all involved.
