PILGRIM WALK TO SHRONE
On Sunday next, May 7, the 15th annual Pilgrim Walk to the City at Shrone will depart from Cronin’s Farm, Cloch Aidhneach at 7.30 a.m. Walkers are also welcome to join at the Mills around 8.45 a.m. before beginning the climb to Mullach an Ois and over into the Clyadh Valley. It is planned to arrive in time for the 1.30 p.m. Mass. Fáilte is fiche roimh cách.

GREENSHINE CONCERT
All fans of local group, Greenshine are looking forward to one of their rare local concerts on this Friday, May 5, in Inchigeela Hall at 8.30 p.m. The renowned storyteller, Pat Speight will join them in this wonderful concert.
SAFE PASS COUSE

GER WOLFE
The wonderful Ger Wolfe will be performing in the Seomra, Wallis Bar, Midleton on Tuesday, May 9, at 8 p.m. Fáilte roimh cách.
LTV PROGRAMMES
After a season of wonderful LTV Programmes, it is time to sincerely thank Dan Joe and his tiny crew for shortening the dark Wednesday and Sunday nights over the winter. We are so lucky here in this part of Co. Cork to have a TV channel all of our own. As Dan Joe is recording over 30 years, some amazing performers, no longer with us, are on film. Hopefully Dan Joe’s archive will be available once again in the Library soon.
FINAL LTV PROGRAMME
The final LTV programme of this season will be the annual Mass from the City at Shrone on this Sunday, May 7, at 5.30 p.m.
POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH
Positive Mental Health for Older People is the theme of a talk by a member of the HSE psychology service in the Library, Maigh Chromtha on Friday, May 12, at 11 a.m. All are most welcome to this important talk. The Library has a stock of resources such as books, CDs and DVDs available to its members on this topic. For further details ring the Library at 42483.
SAVE THE DATE
Save Saturday, June 10, as the Valley Wheelers are heading off to cycle 150km around Co. Cork. They plan to leave Cill na Martra at 8 a.m. and the first stop will at the Mercy Hospital.
Then it is on to Bandon, Dunmanway, Inchigeela and Béal Áthan Ghaorthaidh, before returning to Cill na Martra. Sponsor cards will be available locally shortly and further details can be found at cillnamartracycle@ gmail.com.
RIVER BASIN MANAGEMENT
A series of public meetings will be held over the coming weeks to discuss the water bodies of County Cork in the context of the draft River Basin Management Plan for Ireland 2018 – 2021.
If you are you are interested in water quality, biodiversity, heritage, water based recreation and tourism, or matters affecting your local water body then this is an opportunity to share your knowledge and have your say.
The meetings will outline the contents of the draft River Basin Management Plan along with details on how you can input into the final plan.
The Waters and Communities Office aims to get local communities more involved in protecting and enhancing local water bodies for the benefit of everyone. Kieran
