Business leaders to address Mallow breakfast briefing
A NUMBER of industry experts have been lined up to address the ‘Building a Global Engineering Enterprise’ breakfast briefing taking place next Wednesday at the Springfort Hall Hotel.
The event is one of five taking place across Cork under the umbrella of the Bank of Ireland’s annual ‘National Enterprise Week’, which aims to promote business momentum for small and medium businesses across a range of sectors.
These will include a tourism themed event in Cork City, Brexit seminars in Glanmire and Rosscarbery and multicultural day at Cork’s International Club
Using the theme of ‘Scaling Your Business’, the Mallow event will provide an opportunity for local business people to network with fellow entrepreneurs and draw from the knowledge and experience of the panel of keynote speakers.
Among them will be Dave Murphy, CEO of the PM Group who are recognised global leaders in project management, process design and construction management for multinational companies across a range of sectors. Mr Murphy, who has more then three-decades of experience in engineering and construction, will offer insights into the process of business development from start-up phase through to development and expansion.
Another keynote speaker will be Sean McGowan, the CEO of Charleville-based BCD Engineering. The award-winning company specialises in delivering high purity process systems to clients worldwide across the pharma, biotechnology, food & beverage and chemical industries.
Speakers from Enterprise Ireland and Bank of Ireland’s partner WebPort Global will also offer attendees valuable insights into supports available to local entrepreneurs to help them grow, innovate and win export sales in global markets.
The Bank of Ireland’s provincial director for Munster, Liam Sheedy, urged local businesses to sign up for the Mallow event.
“Under the ‘Scaling Your Business’ theme we aims to help SME’s showcase their products and services and connect them with like-minded mentors and entrepreneurs,” he said.
