AN PLEAN TEANGA

-

OVER the past eight months Múscraí’s Development Co-operative has been collecting ideas and suggestions from the community and we are now nearing the end of that stage of the Language Plan.

It will be a seven year Language Plan and it concerns the entire community.

They have collected ideas from more than 1,000 people across a wide spectrum of groups in Gaeltacht Mhúscraí;

300 Secondary School Students – Workshops & Questionnaires

200 Primary School Students - Workshops & Questionnaires

110 Community Organisations - Workshops & Questionnaires

300 Parents of Primary & Secondary school students - Questionnaires

130 Parents of Toddlers & Parents of Children in the local Naíonraí - Workshops & Questionnaires

The Next Step

They will be distributing hard copies of the general questionnaire through each local church. These can be completed and returned to your local post office or to Siopa Frank & Eibhlín Uí Dhuinnín.

This will give everyone the opportunity to contribute to the Language Plan.

The General Questionnaire is also available online at www.cfmteo.com.

Finally, there will be soon to be announced public meetings and all suggestions will be made available prior to these meetings for any feedback before the final Language Plan is submitted.
