The Cork County Juvenile Championships were a huge success for our athletes with a mixture of first competitors and seasoned. Everyone, who travelled had a busy day and all competed their events.

RESULTS

Johnny Murphy, 12: First 600m; second hurdles, second long jump. Emma Lehane under-13: Third 600m. Amy Whelan under-14: First shot put, second discus. Hollie McCarthy under-15: First sprint 100m Joe Ivory under-15: First javelin Ciara Sheehy under-16: First shot put, first discus. Anna Kellegher under-17 first discus, third 100m sprint. Jordan Mason under-17: Third 400m Niamh Linehan under-18: Third 100m sprint; third long jump. Vickie Cusack under-18: First long jump, first 100m sprint, second shot put. Heather Barrett under-19: First long jump, second 100m sprint. It is on to next Sunday for day two with the same athletes involved.

Our arthletes attending secondary schools had a great day out on Thursday last at the South Munster Schools Championships held at CIT Cork as follows.
