The next step is to update the list of qualified volunteers and form a guiding committee. STEP DANCING CLASSES

traditional solo step dancing classes will start in Bruach Na Carraige Rockchapel on Friday, September 8, at 6 p.m. with well known traditional dancers and dance teachers Sarah and Maurice O’Keeffe.

The O’Keeffes can teach a range of these old dances including sean os, the Job of Journeywork the garden of Daisies, Rodneys glory. the Three Sea Captains, Madame Bonaparte, Youghal Harbour, and many more.

These dances generated a lot of interest when danced on the Gig Rig by Rockchapel Comhaltas at the all-Ireland Fleasdh Cheoil in Ennis. Two of the O’Keeffe students competed at the Fleadh Cheoil with Cian Broderick winning the all-Ireland.
