SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to Mary, Noel, Sadie and Ella Shine, Réidh na nDoirí following the death of Paddy Greene, Wellington Street, Waterford, formerly of Anchor Bar, Dunmore East. Just like Mary, the late Paddy was a renowned and respected singer. Interment took place in St Otteran’s Cemetery following Requiem Mass in Ballybricken Church. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar anam dílis.

GOUGANE SUNDAY

Gougane Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday next, September 24, with Rosary at 2 p.m. And Mass at 2.30 p.m. in the Oratory.

This year’s Homily will be preached by Bishop O’Connell from Los Angles. Pilgrim Walks from Cill na Martra, Cill Garbhán and an Caol Choill are planning to arrive before 2 p.m.

SINGING SESSION

The fortnightly Singing Sessions in the Auld Triangle, Maigh Chromtha have resumed and the next Session is on Sunday, October 1, around 9 p.m. All singers, reciters and listeners most welcome.
