Great teamwork on display from Laochra Óg under nine girls

MONDAY, JUNE 11: There was fantastic on display from the U9 girls in Cloughduv recently.

Laochra Óg fielded two teams and all girls worked tirelessly, showing great skill and determinat­ion. There were fantastic saves from the goalkeeper­s too and the defence and forward lines worked together along with the midfielder­s – great team work from all.

SATURDAY, JUNE 16: The U15 Camogie team travelled to Blarney in the Muskerry league. It was the second league game of the campaign.

They went with a large panel of players with everyone getting half a game and they started brightly, scoring a goal and a point before Blarney came back into the game.

Blarney dominated the first half with well taken goals and points from frees. They then made a host of changes in the second half with all substitute­s coming on from the start.

The game completely changed with Laochra Óg playing some great camogie to win the game in the end by five points with a very strong second half performanc­e.

SUNDAY, JUNE 17: The club developmen­t draw took place today in Clondrohid Community Hall. There were two draws. The first draw of €400 was won by Jillian Dineen, Knockroe, Kilnamarty­ra and the sellers prize goes to Dromeys Centra, Ballymakee­ra.

The second draw for a €25 voucher forM&JK el le her, Clondrohid was won by The Twomey Family, The Tavern, Clondrohid.
