SINSIR CLUB NOTES
Castlemagner Sinsir Club wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the team from Cork County Council, who, upon request from the club, upgraded the road surface with tar and chip near at the entrance and avenue to St. Brigit’s Cemetery, Castlemagner. The club also wishes to thank Andrea Sheehan, form Cork County Council who received the request and led the response.
The sinsir club also wish to thank IRD Duhallow who, prior to this, were involved in maintaining the provisional upkeep of the same area. St Brigid’s cemetery is an important historical part of the heritage of Castlemagner parish and is visited on an ongoing basis by locals, historians, tourists, and parishioners including those who visit home from abroad. This upgrade has added hugely to the local environment.

Callanan responded well to Bowen’s two big shots to Cullinane’s to hold the lead at just over a bowl. He closed the gap to just a bowl after a great shot past the novice line taking advantage of two poor throws from Bowen. Bowen took command with a blistering shot on the middle of the road to push his head to 80m over a bowl. His next was slightly left, but it ran well past the junior line to keep him well over a bowl clear. He beat the finish line in two more to hold his advantage.
