The Corkman

Free short film course for young people

-

A two-day film making workshop is scheduled for the Cork Film Centre Gallery, The Powdermills, Ballincollig on Saturday and Sunday, November 17/18.

Running from 10.30am to 4.30pm, the two-day course is designed for young people, aged between 14 & 18. There are 12 places in total and they are ideal for those who are creative and have a genuine interest in film making, both in front of and behind the camera.

Working as a group you will learn and enhance film-making techniques. You will script your own drama, shoot the scenes, act, direct and crew a short film under the guidance of professional experienced filmmakers from Cork Film Centre.

Applications are now open but just five places remain available. No experience is necessary, but early booking is essential as places are strictly limited. The only charge is a €20 booking fee.

To apply, simply e-mail corkyoungfilmmakers@ gmail.com - ASAP.

Your short film will be premiered on the big screen at an exciting Film Gala event hosted by Cork County Council on November 23rd at Vertigo, Cork County Hall, Cork.

‘Cork Young Filmmakers’ is a Cork County Youth Arts Training Programme managed by Cork Film Centre and funded by Cork County Council and SECAD.
