Margaret Cameron

The death occurred on October 29 at Corpus Christi Nursing Home of Margaret Cameron (née Roche), Ballinwill­in Close, Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Margaret was predecease­d by her husband, Eddie.

She was a very popular member of the local community, being borne out by the large attendance at the removal on Thursday evening from the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, to the Parish Church; and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday.

Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery.

To her sisters-in-law, Betty Roche and Maureen Cameron; nephews; nieces; Eddie and Lesley Cameron; John and Michael Roche; Bernadette, Paul, Marc and JJ Hussey; special friend Helen Bailey; relatives; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Jerome Scully

The death occurred on November 2 of Jerome (Jerry) Scully, Ballyaniha­n, Kildorrery, and formerly of Maughanasi­lly, Kealkil, Bantry.

The late Jerry, a member of the farming community, was well known in the Kildorrery area.

His popularity was borne out in the very large and represente­d attendance that was present at Abbeylands Nursing Home on Sunday; and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday.

Interment took place to the local cemetery.

To his wife, Mary (née Hyland); son, Sean; daughter, Marie Arnold (Kanturk); sisters, Sheila Johnson and Mary Crowley; grandchild­ren, Sinead and Clodagh; son-in-law, Tom Arnold; daughter-in-law, Fiona (Boyle); brother-in-law, Tony Crowley; step-grandchild­ren; nephews; nieces; cousins; and a wide circle of friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Mass for the deceased to take place next week

Mitchelsto­wn Parish Pastoral Council invites all to a Special Mass in the Parish Church on Thursday November 15, at 8pm for all those who died during the past 12 months, from Nov 1, 2017, to October 31, 2018.

The families of all those whose funerals took place in the Parish will be contacted.

Parishione­rs whose relatives died outside the Parish in the past year should contact the Parish Office by November 9 if they would like the name of their loved one to be remembered on the night.

The Mass will be live on the Parish radio and the internet.
