Mar­garet Cameron

The death oc­curred on Oc­to­ber 29 at Cor­pus Christi Nurs­ing Home of Mar­garet Cameron (née Roche), Ballinwillin Close, Mitchel­stown.

The late Mar­garet was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, Ed­die.

She was a very pop­u­lar mem­ber of the lo­cal com­mu­nity, be­ing borne out by the large at­ten­dance at the re­moval on Thurs­day evening from the Chapel of Rest, Bald­win Street, to the Parish Church; and also at the Re­quiem Mass and burial on Fri­day.

In­ter­ment took place to the ad­join­ing ceme­tery.

To her sis­ters-in-law, Betty Roche and Mau­reen Cameron; neph­ews; nieces; Ed­die and Les­ley Cameron; John and Michael Roche; Ber­nadette, Paul, Marc and JJ Hussey; spe­cial friend He­len Bai­ley; rel­a­tives; neigh­bours; and many friends, we ten­der our sin­cere sym­pa­thy.

Jerome Scully

The death oc­curred on Novem­ber 2 of Jerome (Jerry) Scully, Ballyani­han, Kil­dor­rery, and for­merly of Maugh­anasilly, Kealkil, Bantry.

The late Jerry, a mem­ber of the farm­ing com­mu­nity, was well known in the Kil­dor­rery area.

His pop­u­lar­ity was borne out in the very large and rep­re­sented at­ten­dance that was present at Abbey­lands Nurs­ing Home on Sun­day; and also at the Re­quiem Mass and burial on Mon­day.

In­ter­ment took place to the lo­cal ceme­tery.

To his wife, Mary (née Hy­land); son, Sean; daugh­ter, Marie Arnold (Kan­turk); sis­ters, Sheila John­son and Mary Crow­ley; grand­chil­dren, Sinead and Clodagh; son-in-law, Tom Arnold; daugh­ter-in-law, Fiona (Boyle); brother-in-law, Tony Crow­ley; step-grand­chil­dren; neph­ews; nieces; cousins; and a wide cir­cle of friends, we ten­der our sin­cere sym­pa­thy.

Mass for the de­ceased to take place next week

Mitchel­stown Parish Pas­toral Coun­cil in­vites all to a Spe­cial Mass in the Parish Church on Thurs­day Novem­ber 15, at 8pm for all those who died dur­ing the past 12 months, from Nov 1, 2017, to Oc­to­ber 31, 2018.

The fam­i­lies of all those whose fu­ner­als took place in the Parish will be con­tacted.

Par­ish­ioners whose rel­a­tives died out­side the Parish in the past year should con­tact the Parish Of­fice by Novem­ber 9 if they would like the name of their loved one to be re­mem­bered on the night.

The Mass will be live on the Parish ra­dio and the in­ter­net.
