Caroline is the one who puts the icing on the cake

Caroline Bell’s business – Cakes By Caroline B - has organically grown from starting out in her kitchen at home 14 years ago after she had moved to Ireland with her husband.
“My initial interest was in cake decorating, which was a complete departure from working in a high profile corporate role,” says Caroline.
Having started at home, the business soon outgrew the space and Caroline eventually had to build her own purpose built premises.
While she predominantly supplies locally, she also deals internationally with brides to be. “Over the years I have been awarded bronze, silver, gold and best in class awards internationally for my skill in sugarcraft, a skill which distinguishes me from many other cake makers,” she says.
Having an understanding of customer service and marketing has helped her enormously in running a successful business, enabling her to set up, design and manage her own website, which has been invaluable.
“I never dreamt when I initially started my cake journey that it would take me so far, its creativity is a constant challenge which I love,” she says.
“I enjoy creating every day novelty cakes for every day people and don’t see that changing.”
