IN Blackwater Valley Darts, HORGANS were at home to Maureens and the home team drew first blood with Adrian Holmes defeating David O’ Brien 3-0.

Pat Angland overcame Patrick Holmes 3-2 to level it. Maureens took the lead with Patrick Angland defeating Mick Deady 3-1.

Horgans dug deep and Chris Holmes beat Klaus Richter 3-1, Daithi Linehan beat Peter O’ Donovan 3-0 and Robert Harrington beat Luke O’ Connell 3-1. Horgans were now in front 4-2 after the singles.

In the doubles Robert Harrington and Daithi Linehan defeated father and son Pat and James Angland 3-1. Brothers Chris and Adrian Holmes defeated Kalus Richter and Sean Dilworth 3-0 to secure a good home win with the final score reading Horgans 6 Maureens 2.

Dalys travelled to the Mousetrap where it is always hard to defeat the home team. Johnny Griffin put the Mousetrap in front with a 3-1 win over Gerry Black in a very entertaini­ng and high scoring game.

Solid Brendan Mathews beat Owen Doyle 3-0 to level it. Harry Cosgrove defeated Sean Mc Gann 3-2 and Michael O’ Rourke defeated Tony Hartnett 3-2 to put the Mousetrap in front. Both wins were close contests.

Johnny Holland defeated Alan O’ Donoghue 3-0 and Darren Lynch overcame Martin Doyle 3-2 to level it.

Next up were the doubles and Gerry Black and Brendan Mathews defeated Johnny Griffin and Harry Cosgrove 3-0. Dalys in front for the first time.

Owen Doyle and Alan O’ Donoghue overcame Johnny Holland and Darren Lynch 3-2 to clinch the draw. Final result Mousetrap 4 Dalys 4. The Bridge House were at home to Kilbrin Social Club. The visitors got off the mark first with Alan Mullane defeating Christophe­r Barry 3-0. Eddie O’ Rourke stepped up to beat Mike O’Connor 3-0.

All square after two games, Kilbrin’s Pat Healy beat Damian Carey 3-0, Mike Kennedy defeated Darren Jones 3-2 and Alan Ballantyne beat Colm Cahill 3-1 to put Kilbrin firmly in the lead.

Nicky Sherman beat Alex Mc Carthy 3-1 to make 4-2 to Kilbrin. In the doubles Alan Mullane and Alex Mc Carthy beat Eddie O’ Rourke and Darren Jones 3-1 while Colm Cahill and Nicky Sherman overcame Pat Healy and Alan Ballantynr 3-2.

Final result Bridge House 3 Kilbrin Social Club 5.

Corkerys travelled to Kit Roches for their clash. The visitors kicked off with Will O’ Shea defeating Aaron Ryan 3-0. Raymond Harrington defeated Peter Heslin 3-2 to level it.

Tim O’Sullivan beat Kevin Linehan 3-0 to put Corkerys in front. Daniel Linehan beat Donal Cullinane 3-2 to level it again.

Dave O’Leary defeated Chris O’Toole 3-2 to put the visitors in front. Ger Mc Carthy beat Pa Lucey 3-0 to make it all square after the singles.

In the doubles Tim O’Sullivan and Peter Heslin beat Anthony Linehan and Denis O’Sullivan 3-1 and Dave O’Leary and Will O’Shea beat Sean Cole and Mark Linehan 3-0 to secure victory for Corkerys.

Final score: Kit Roches 3, Corkerys 5.
