Kanturk go top of league with 4-0 victory over Leeview

-

KANTURK went top of the league with a dominant one sided victory over Leeview last Saturday in Gurteenard.

Still undefeated in the league, they played with great skill and confidence, producing a brilliant brand of football considering the heavy conditions. Nil all at half time, they were well on top creating lots of chances but unable to convert any. In the 2nd half all this changed with 2 goals from Ross O’Connor, 1 from Denis Finn and a wonder strike from debutant Lorcan O’Neill.

Best for Kanturk on the day were Ross O’Connor, Denis Finn

and Kyrle Holland. Kanturk AFC U17 V Ballincollig AFC, Sunday, December 3 at Gurteenard.

A very shaky start for Turks saw them 2 nil down after 25 mins then they took over the remaining 20 mins scoring 3 good goals from Cathal Broderick.

At half-time 3-2, a slow start in second half saw them give away a sloppy goal. They stepped up a gear after that but couldn’t score.

A great save by Turks keeper Ronan Cashman kept it 3-3 - a very good game by both sides and draw was a fair result. Best for Turks: Cathal Broderick, Erin McAuliffe, Josh O’Connor and Padraig O’Sullivan.
