THE Mallow Social Services Council annual senior citizens Christmas party, funded by Mallow Gardai, was held at the Social Services Centre on the New Road on Sunday afternoon.

Mallow Gardai, led by Community Garda John Fitzgerald and retired Garda Liam Doyle, were on hand to insure all went well as they served out dinners and drinks to the 110 guests who attended.

Transition Year students from various schools in the region as well as Social Services hard working staff were also busy during the three hour event.

Michael O’Donovan was also on hand to act as MC for the afternoon which included plenty music and song.

Joan Barry and Michael O’Sullivan cut the large Christmas cake during the party.
