Joing us in The Square this Friday evening

-

THE countdown to the festive season begins in Millstreet on this Friday evening with the official turn on of the Christmas lights in the Town Square at 6.30pm. No shortage of surprises with Santa dropping in and serenaded by the Millstreet Community Choir and Millstreet Pipe Band.

To get into the festive fun, patrons are asked to wear their Christmas hat and/or sweater. And there is a treat in store, a hot chocolate van will be nearby to meet the requirements of festive goers.

Millstreet Community Council encourages the public to shop local over the coming weeks to retain business and maintain employment. Indeed, shoppers can enjoy the best of parking and excellent value in a wide and varied range of products.

December is shaping up to be busy, the shops offer attractive discounts and promotions. Indeed the outlets and streets are full of ambience, banter and festive cheer.

Millstreet Community Council continues to promote the social, economic, cultural and environmental welfare of its catchment area. Along with Millstreet Tidy Towns and so many other groups, these voluntary organizations have undertaken a number of projects to improve amenities and help the town maintain its charm to a constant flow of visitors through out the year.

Again, Millstreet’s Green Glens demonstrated its versatility on hosting diverse events and attractive diverse age groups and nationalities. Its all been pretty positive for Millstreet, community leaders keen to build on its success going into 2019.
