Sound financial advice for over 30 years

The Corkman - - CHRISTMAS IN MILLSTREET -

Brittany Insurances and Financial Services was established in 1987 by John F Randles, providing General Insurance Products e.g. Business, Home and Car Insurance as well as Life Assurance, Investment and Pension Products to the people of Cork and Kerry.

Today, it has a large loyal base of satisfied clients, who prefer the security offered by dealing with real identifiable persons as opposed to the anonymous call centre operatives.

99% of their business would come from within a 25 kilometre radius, and that has contributed to the success and stable growth of their business over the years, as “word of mouth” referrals were invaluable, and ensured that not alone did they get genuine enquiries, but also that the new customers had confidence in their advise and service, and would not be easily tempted to leave.

In fact, the demise of insurance brokers was greatly exaggerated as the public soon learned that price was not everything. Many found themselves stranded because of dangerously poor service, but also with less cover than they thought they had bought online, and so have returned to their local brokers again.

The value of good advice from highly qualified and experienced broker staff cannot be understated, as clients are frequently unaware of the serious differences between various policy choices, covers and yes - the dangers in the small print, e.g. conditions, exclusions etc. Brittany Insurances would have helped a lot of very satisfied clients, to successfully pursue their claims. That is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.

Brittany Insurances also advise people on Investments, Life Assurance and Pensions and can again help clients to get the most suitable policies for their particular needs. Regretfully they have also had to see some families suffer the loss of a spouse and/or parent, but at least there would have been a Life Assurance policy in place to help with Loans/Debts.

In fact every young couple/ family should give priority to having some Life Assurance and Serious Illness cover for themselves (not only just the minimum for a Mortgage), followed by an Income Protection Policy and a Pension Policy.

John Randles has been joined by enthusiastic insurance apprentices for the Christmas Season.
