Millstreet GAA look forward to welcoming patrons and friends to a Race Night at the Bush Bar on this Saturday night at 8pm.

An excellent social night out is promised, for all inquiries on sponsorship of races, jockeys, trainers and horses, contact any Millstreet GAA club member.

There was plenty of success for Millstreet gaelic games participants during the playing season.

Millstreet claimed an exciting victory over Banteer to land the Duhallow U21 B Hurling Championship title. It goes back to 2002 since Millstreet’s previous triumph in the age group.

The win is a reward for a dedicated team and management that have operated with a small pool of players that ranged in numbers between 13 and 15 all season with a number of minors involved. An exciting final added to the achievement, a tenacious Millstreet holding off a late Banteer rally to win 0-15 to 0-14.

Indeed, Millstreet were pushed to the pin of their collar, the contest was every bit as close and engaging as the scoreline suggests, Millstreet forced to dig deep before shrugging off determined opponents. Operating with a small playing panel, a durable Millstreet combination underlined their unwavering resolve and conviction that staved off a brave Banteer bid that came close to forcing a replay.

The Millstreet panel were Patrick Dineen; Donal Sheehan, Aidan Murphy, Donal O’Donovan; Colin O’Leary, Darren Kiely, Padraig Moynihan; Tim Healy, Neil Flahive; Thomas Walsh, Dylan O’Leary, Shane Hickey; Andrew Smyth, Cathal Crowley, Eric Barrett.

A Millstreet and Dromtariffe combination Keale Gaels collected a rewarding Rebel Óg Co. Minor B1 Hurling title on defeating Kilbrittain having earlier captured the North Cork title. Operating with a fury and intensity that eventually wore down the West Cork side, Keale Gaels emmerged worthy winners to a competitive encounter.

Keale Gaels fielded as Daniel Hartnett; Aidan Murphy, Ray Daly, David O’Donovan; Luke O’Donoghue, Conor O’Callaghan , Darragh Cashman; Neil Flahive, Killian O’Sullivan ; Brandon Murphy, Tomás Howard, Gerry
