Lions Club fun run, walk on St Stephen’s Day
CHARLEVILLE Lions Club are this year again running an 8k fun run and 5k walk on St Stephen’s Day for the benefit of Charleville Tidy Towns.
This has become an annual event eagerly looked forward to by athletes and numbers have been growing year on year.
There is the alternative option of a 5k walk down the Railway Road. Walkers are encouraged to walk on a route which has a footpath all the way so it is suitable for bringing children along, walking or in buggies. It is a great opportunity for all the family to get out for fun, fresh air and exercise after the festivities of Christmas Day.
Registration will take place from 10.30 (for an 11am start) at the Scout Hall in the car park behind the library.
All walkers/runners will finish at the Scout Hall where members of Charleville Lions Club will be providing mulled wine and mince pies to replenish lost energy. A draw for hampers will take place here on the tickets issued at registration.
Sincere thanks to the members of Charleville Lions Club who have organised this event. Thank you also to John Brady and to North Cork AC. Thank you to all walkers/runners who have taken part in the past.
We look forward to seeing you again on St Stephen’s Day.
SYMPATHY
all
Charleville Tidy Towns extends sincere sympathy to the family of the late Jacqueline Binchy Ryan, who was a CTT volunteer for many years. May she rest in peace.
