Glanworth, Kildorrery and Kilara Óg GAA hold their Annual General Meetings

Both Glanworth and Kildorrery GAA clubs held their Annual General Meetings (AGMs) on Friday night.

Chairman Arthur O’ Keeffe presided over the Glanworth AGM.

In his address, he welcomed the gathering and paid a warm tribute to all who had helped with the smooth running of the club.

Secretary David O’Sullivan presented a detailed report of the year’s happenings both on and off the field.

The financial report by Bernie Caffrey was once again in great detail.

Arthur O’Keeffe, after spending four years as chairman, did not seek re-election. Liam Brennan has taken over as chairman for 2019.

David O’Sullivan and Bernie Caffrey will continue as rúnaí and cisteoir for the coming season.

The club will hold an endof-year Mass this Friday night for deceased members in Glanworth Church 8pm

The Kildorrery GAA AGM was held on Friday night before a good attendance in the Club Hall. Chairman Dave Roche presided. 2018 was a very successful year for the club, winning four North Cork titles.

The secretary, James Fox, presented a very detailed account of all the activities both on and off the field over a busy season. Long-serving treasurer Willie Duggan presented another financial report which showed club funds to be very well handled and maintained.

President, Tom Fox; Vice-Presidents, Andrew O’Dea, Tom Monaghan, Nicholas Hickey, Mick O’Keeffe, Pat Fenton, and Eddie O’Connor; Chairman, Pa Walsh; Vice- Chariman, Joe Sherlock; Hon Secretary, James Fox; Assistant Secretary, William Fouhy; Treasurer, Willie Duggan; Assistant Treasurer, Barry O’Connor; Registrar, Liam O’Sullivan; Insurance Officers, Ned Dwane and Peter O’Brien; Cultural Officer, Jason Walsh; Children’s Officer, Ned Dwane; County Board delegates, Pat Fenton and Tony McCarthy; Coaching Officer, Eamonn O’Connor; and PRO, Nicholas Hickey.

Kilworth/Araglin Juvenile GAA club AGM was also held on Friday night in Araglin Sports Complex. Chairman Aidan Hyland, Honorary Secretary Denis Twomey, and Treasurer Christy Beecher were elected for the coming year.
