Pipe band rings in new year
MILLSTREET Pipe Band delivered its traditional recital on New Year’s Eve. The great bastions of piped music are associated with a multitude of sporting and social events, always equal to the big occasion in the height of frenzy excitement of cheering crowds as they are to a lesser but equally all important local celebration or commemoration.
Before many foreign visitors at a multitude of national and international gatherings on home ground in Millstreet and many other outlets such as Munster Final Day, the Annual Michael Collins Commemoration at Béal na Bláth to the Rose of Tralee Festival, the Millstreet Pipe Band is associated with marching tunes and specific brand of music.
Favoured by pleasant weather on New Year’s Eve, their recital received a warm reception from an appreciative audience.
