JIMMY NORRIS R.I.P.

THE death has occurred of Jimmy Norris at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice on Wednesday, December 26.

From Castlepark and formerly of Castlekevi­n, Jimmy was predecease­d by his brothers, William and Victor, sister Elizabeth, and is survived by his wife, Helen (nèe Rea) daughters Lara (Finke), Vicky (Sheehan) and Katie ( Whelan), relations, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Resurrecti­on at 11.30am on Saturday, December 29 followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

To the Norris family we extend our deepest sympathy.

ANNE CORKERY R.I.P.

THE death took place on Tuesday, January 1 of Anne Corkery (nèe Dalton).

From Boherbue and formerly of Lachnalooh­a, Mallow, Anne was predecease­d by her brother Ted and is survived by her husband, John, children Patrick, Andrea, John, Tadhg and Mary, brothers Michael and Kieran, relations and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 11am on Thursday, January 3 with burial afterwards in Boherbue Cemetery.

HELEN CURRY R.I.P.

THE death took place at Cork University Hospital of Helen Curry (nèe Lehane) on Wednesday, January 2.

From Powerscour­t and formerly of Killavulle­n, Helen is predecease­d by her son Michael and baby Martina, and survived by her husband, Dave, sons John, David and Brendan, daughter Mary, relations, carers and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Craebnait’s Church Annakissa followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank Mallow General Hospital for the wonderful care of their mother.

DENIS CRONIN. R.I.P.

THE death took place of Denis Cronin of Canon Sheehan Place at Windmill Nursing Home, Churchtown on Saturday, January 5.

Formerly of Clogheen, Mourneabbe­y and Dromore, Denis is survived by his wife, Alice (nèe Pollard) son Jerry, relations and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 12noon on Monday, January 7 followed by burial to St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

PAT O’CONNELL. R.I.P.

THE death took place at the Mercy Hospital of Pat O’Connell on Sunday, December 30.

From Grenagh and formerly of Cullen, Pat is predecease­d by his wife, Margaret (nèe Houlihan) and survived by his son, Timothy and daughter Louise, brothers Denis, Sèamus and Daniel, sister Nina (Tangney).

Pat worked in the Quality Control Department of the Borden Co. in Mallow up to its closure in 1998 and later at UCC.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Lachteen’s Church, Grenagh at 11am on Wednesday, January 1 followed by burial in Cullen Cemetery.
