“It’s good to get a game un­der our belts to get use to each other and the new rules. I think it was a good per­for­mance to­day, a lit­tle slug­gish in the first half, but in the se­cond we kind of got go­ing.”

Those rule changes did have some im­pact last week­end with Cork get­ting pulled up three or four times on the three-hand pass rule, but Clancy wasn’t that con­cerned about it stat­ing “it is just about get­ting used to it in a com­pet­i­tive game I think re­ally. You can prac­tice it all you want in train­ing but un­til you see how the ref­er­ees are reff­ing it then you won’t re­ally get a han­dle on it.”
