Tomás Clancy is rearing and ready to go with the Cork seniors after a successful year with Fermoy
ORK’S Tomás Clancy, like his fellow inter-county stars, had a season to forget with Cork in 2018 as the senior side failed to achieve on almost all levels.
That said, the Fermoy starman played a hugely significant part in his club side securing their place in Cork senior football for the first time in decades as well as making it all the way to the provincial final before finally coming unstuck just a matter of weeks ago.
Clancy may well have had just a few weeks away from the game, but the hugely talented and committed footballer is delighted to be back into the thick of the county scene.
“My season went on late with the club so I took two weeks and then came back but I think you are better off just keeping at it. It is great to get back into that environment, its competitive and I like that. I also like the club scene – it’s great to be able to go over and back for a while, but now really good to be back with Cork.”
