Millstreet ladies hit the tiles for Nollag na mBan
A LONG standing tradition on Nollag na mBan saw ladies across North Cork take a night off any chores they may have had, to celebrate the end of Christmas.
The Millstreet hosting lived up to its billing, marking the close of a hectic few weeks of preparation and cooking – and on the night the ladies enjoyed a celebratory meal and partied into the night in the surrounds of the Wallis Arms Hotel.
Strictly female company, the male folk left at home with the chores. And so it proved, one of the social events in the social calendar saw ladies trip the light fantastic at the Little Christmas Party.
Patrons from throughout Duhallow convened, tasting mulled wine on arrival and a sumptuous meal digested. The popular Diamond Sisters provided the music, adding to a hectic atmosphere as ladies hit the floor to the songs of Johnny Cash, Nathan Carter and many more.
On celebrating the end of Christmas, the ladies paid a fitting acknowledgement to the staging to savour a night of music, fun and laughter. Organiser Billy Sheehan and staff ensured a very enjoyable occasion with a host of spot prizes adding to the atmosphere of a terrific social night out on the town with proceeds supporting the Millstreet based Reach Out Cancer Support
(ROCS).
