Michael Curtin

The death occurred unexpected­ly at St Finbarr’s Hospital Cork on Monday, February 4, of Michael Curtin King St Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Michael was in his 87th year. He was predecease­d by his wife, Nancy.

He was late of Fitzgerald’s Radio and Electrical, Lower Cork Street, and also late of the local fire services.

He was a very popular member of the community and was a very religious man. His popularity was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance present for his Funeral on Wednesday evening from the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, to the Parish Church; and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Thursday. Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery.

To his son, Michael; daughters, Eileen (O’Neill) and Anne; daughter-in-law, Tricia; son-in-law, John; grandchild­ren, Sean, Andrew, Jack and Julia; sisters, Veronica and Margaret; brother-inlaw, John; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

William (Bill) Hegarty

The death occurred on February 8 at Mallow General Hospital of William (Bill) Hegarty, Ballylegan, Glanworth.

The late Bill was wellknown locally. His popularity was borne out in the large attendance present for his Funeral on Sunday evening from Hannon’s Funeral Home, Kildorrery, to the Church of the Holy Cross, Glanworth; and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday.

Interment took place to Glanworth Old Cemetery.

To his sisters, Francis and Pauline; nephews; nieces; extended family and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
