Kanturk Co-op Mart weekly sale results

THIS week’s sale had 680 cattle, including 150 calves.

The general sale of all cattle was up on last week with great demand for forward store bullocks and heifers. Sample prices: Calves: Fr Bull Calves making up to €120 for good calves, Shipping Calves €40 - €60, HE Bull Calves - €200 - €250, HE Heifer Calves - €180 - €230, CON. Bull Calves - €270 - €350, CON. Heifer Calves - €230 - €320.

Dry Cows: 1 PI – 745kgs - €1,090, 1 FR – 710kgs - €850, 1 FR – 690kgs - €820, 1 FR – 545kgs - €820.

Heifers: 3 SHX – 470kgs - €970, 2 LM – 475kgs - €955, 4 SIM – 537kgs - €950, 1 HE – 540kgs - €910, 5 FR – 570kgs - €890.

Bullocks: 4 LM – 525kgs - €1,095, 4 FR – 595kgs - €1,050, 6 AA – 510kgs - €1,000, 4 HE – 460kgs - €915, 5 SIM – 475kgs - €890.

On this Saturday 16th February at 1pm sharp there’s a complete clearance sale of 35 pure bred registered cows, including 10 in-calf heifers, four in-calf heifers, followed by other dairy stock.

Also on Saturday 16th February at 3pm is a suckler sale, reduction sale of 40 home bred top class LM Cows.
