David Walsh – Mallow Handball Club:
A stalwart of the sport in Mallow, David has won numerous accolades, including the 2017 All-Ireland 40 x 20 Minor Championship, silver medal at the Word Championships in 2018 and is the current U-19 US singles champion.
He is also an accomplished coach.
James Hunter – Mallow United Special Olympics:
A member of the Mallow United Special Olympics Team for the past eight years, James will also be representing Ireland on the world stage as a member of the soccer team at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi this month.
Dillon Corkery – Team Gerard DHL:
A world class elite cyclist, Dillon was the youngest ever Elite All-Ireland Champion, the youngest rider in the 2018 Ras Tailteann (finishing in 26th place) and a member of the Irish U-23 team that competed in the 2018 World Cup. He also recorded seven wins in his first season as a professional rider.
Paul Moloney – Mallow Athletics Club:
Paul has enjoyed a fantastic two years, setting clubs records and winning numerous medals in various competition both in Ireland and in Wales, where he was a member of the team that won silver in the British and Irish Master Championship (over-35).
Timothy Murphy – Doneraile Bowling Club:
The current Munster and All-Ireland junior road bowling champion, Timothy is the North East Cork Regional Junior Champion and won the 2018 Beal na Blath Junior tournament.
Mourenaabbey Ladies Football Club:
The County and Munster senior Ladies Football Champions, the club finally scooped All-Ireland glory last year after having lost out in the 2014, 2015 and 2017 finals. The club has supplied players to Cork County teams for a number years across all age categories.
