O’Sullivan the star as Kiskmeam triumph

-

Kiskeam 2-15 Carbery Rangers 1-15

KISKEAM’S Seán O’Sullivan emerged the player with the golden boot, his 2-5 tally did the damage to overcome Carbery Rangers in the Rochestown Hotel County FL Division 1.

With the contest nip and tuck for much of the opening half, the lead changed hands time and again. However, the visiting Rangers appeared to be making most of the elements to jump into the lead approaching the interval.

Enter O’Sullivan, his timing perfect, a goal on the call of the interval narrowed the deficit to four and quickly upon the restart, O’Sullivan had netted again into a lead that Kiskeam were never going to relinquish.

A fine open attacking game offered neat passages of play, Carbery Rangers points from John Hayes, John O’Rourke and James Fitzpatrick matched by Mike Herlihy and Tom O’Sullivan.

Rangers regained control yet Kiskeam kept probing, rewarded on O’Sullivan goal to narrow the arrears 0-13 to 1-6. And Kiskeam roared out of the traps for the resumption of play, O’Sullivan’s second green flag, the perfect encouragement for a takeover.

The O’Sullivan, Tom and Seán along with Herlihy kicked neat points to steer into a commanding position. Rangers plugged away, rewarded on a consolation Paudie Hodnett goal.
